The number of virtual worlds and the population within them is increasing at a rapid rate. Many predict that virtual worlds will present a major shift in the way we communicate, interact, socialise and collaborate online. The generation growing up today will be familiar with interacting in virtual worlds, and may come to prefer them as a way of communicating online. In his keynote Sean will provide an overview of current trends in virtual worlds and take a look at some the opportunities and challenges that virtual worlds present for education.

Port LearnScope

Last…..but by no means least is the Port LearnScope team with Steven Cutmore and co.

I tried a number of times connecting with Steven’s team for a face-to-face visit however this has just proven impossible at this end of the project timetables.

Instead we arranged an Adobe Connect meeting whereby Steven projected the Adobe Connect interface so all team members could see and the idea was for an open room mike of some description to bring in the audio component of the meeting which I had intended to be recorded.

True DET style, the computer that Steven was plugged into had no audio input ports. So with that in mind I didnt record the session rather do a desktop share of what was expected for Elearning07 etc.

Another example of ingenuity on the feet. Tiring but achieved.

I look forward to meeting some of the team at Elearning07 which is at the end of the week.
