Artist Statement
The wheatbelt of Western Australia, despite its rampant farming-induced salt issues and horrific legacy of genocide against the Aboriginal peoples of this immense nation of nations, has the occasional natural wonder. Boyagarra Pool was once such a safe place where I sat and enjoyed some time out in contemplation, observing, in awareness enjoying the still and peaceful ambiance of the space with artist, Dimity Gregson … until a bunch of tourists in a 4WD rocked up on the other side.
