Artist Statement
Those rare moments of domestic bliss often evolved into creative activity involving the whole Family, where seated in the sun or lazily draped over a lounge we would draw, paint and carve linocut print blocks together. The act of co-creation would often mean in reflection we could ‘see’ each other in the works we had created separately yet together. In later years, the fullness of co-creation often collapsed our expressions together in differing substrates and meaning-making mechanisms. ‘Toowong Street’ is a boxed set of six (6) small linocut prints on BFK paper.
