Professional Associate
Details
In August 2013 I was officially appointed by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Canberra to an honorary role as a Professional Associate of the INSPIRE Centre under the supervision of Professor Robert Fitzgerald and the College of Adjuncts at the University of Canberra, ACT Australia. The period of this honorary role was for three (3) years from 1st August 2013 through to the 31st July 2016 in which I engaged with professional staff and academics on a range of projects, topics, events, and inter-disciplinary research activities
Outcomes
Facilitated and hosted the #Glass Symposium 2014;
Co-designed visual schematics and graphic workflows in conjunction with other Professional Associates such as Paramodic Pty. Ltd
Facilitated conjoint projects, including research and internal event interactions with; (a) Cecilia Abadie from LynxFit; (b) Thad Starner and many others from the Google Glass ‘Explorers’ team; (c) Professor Mark Billinghurst from HitLabs New Zealand (d) Professor Steve Mann from Toronto University in Canada, (e) Pete Wassel and Eddie Quiroz from Augmate LLC; (e) Rob Manson at AWE Media; (f) Bruce Hammond at Interlogix Pty. Ltd; (g) Cathie Reid from APHS; (h) David Caldicott from Scimex and SIMULACRA at Calvary Hospital, Canberra.
Conducted workshops and interdisciplinary events with external stakeholders including the state and federal police, businesses, and other government department staff.
