“… Perfection marked the union of a country girl and a city boy, who celebrated their wedding on a warm autumn afternoon in Cook Park, Orange, New South Wales, Australia. Jane Rogan and Alexander Hayes and Jane Hayes (nee Rogan) were married in Orange on Saturday, March 28, 2009. Alexander said he first met Jane when a mutual friend set them up. '… [They] invited us to attend a dinner and I caught them nudging Jane to come and speak with me. The story developed from there," he said Alexander and Jane's wedding ceremony was performed in the beautiful Orange central ‘Cook Park’ setting. Guests travelled from New Zealand, Karratha, Adelaide, and many other NSW rural locations to celebrate with the couple. A Scottish theme underpinned the whole event, topped off by local celebrant Terry Barnett providing a thought-provoking speech. The bride wore a strapless princess-cut magnolia raw silk gown with a bodice and train adorned with hundreds of pure crystals. Jane carried a bouquet of mixed and rare antique roses. Attending the wedding as matron of honour, Jane’s Sister, Margaret Rogan, wore a teal-coloured floor-length raw silk gown. Attending the groom was the best man and Alexander's brother, David Peter Hayes. Page boy was Alexander & Janes Son, Ethan William Hayes, and flower girl was Alexander’s second daughter Amelia Manon Hayes. The reception was held at Borrodell On The Mount, Orange New South Wales with musician Kyle Manning providing musical entertainment and renowned photographer Seth Buchanan documenting the event. Jane is the daughter of Philip and Judy Rogan of Ungarie, NSW Australia and Alexander is the son of William and Eleanor Hayes of Sydney, NSW Australia. The couple will spend their honeymoon in Noumea and other selected islands. Alexander and Jane and Alexander have settled in Orange, NSW Australia.”
