Position Description

”… In this role, I facilitated an integrated ‘off-campus’ graffiti art project and related life-skills program in conjunction with the Swan City Youth Services youth workers and center staff. In sum total, fifty-six (56) people between the ages of 15 and 21 years of age attained varying levels of certification over a two (2) year period predominantly through the General Education for Adults (CGEA) that was auspiced through Midland TAFE College, Perth, Western Australia.”

Outcomes

  • Designed, coordinated, and implemented comprehensive learning, assessment & accreditation program for at-risk students in a community facility;

  • Facilitated student analog and online learning portfolio development;

  • Negotiated administrative, completed grant writing, and secured funding for resources with related faculties, local business, and local government;

  • Engaged, secured, and managed community initiatives with external community stakeholders, employers, and local government agencies including the Midland Redevelopment Authority, Midland Shire Council, and the Police & Citizens Youth Club, Midland;

  • Implemented vocational pathway, workplace employment, and mentorship programs in conjunction with Western Australian Juvenile Justice and WA Ministry of Justice programs;

  • Integrated lifeskills pathways with the Justice and Equity through Art (JETA) program in conjunction with Curtin University, Bentley Campus, Perth, Western Australia.
