Artists Statement
Public skate park facilities in Australia are often a result of the general public advocating for facilities within which provide predominately children can exercise and enjoy sports such as skateboarding or scooter riding. The Eddison Park skate facility in Canberra, Australia under-went improvements in 2016 under the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program and the Belconnen Skate Park in 2018. Over a two-week period, the Artist used a low resolution iPhone 6S camera phone to capture the agility, varying skills and tricks of these riders in a body of creative photographic works.
