Ethical Framework for Ubiquitous Learning
In late 2012 the Researcher engaged in a number of lengthy conversations with Learning Designer, Leigh Blackall who was invited to present at the upcoming IEEE ISTAS’13 event in Toronto Canada. The online article and discussion review the term ubiquitous learning and its influence on educational development with a presentation titled ‘An Ethical Framework for Ubiquitous Learning’ that was remotely presented and delivered at the IEEE ISTAS13 conference.
“... Work needs to be done in all developmental projects occupied with learning, to more clearly communicate the ethics, values and principles being used or envisioned in the adoption of technology and systems. These ethical dimensions need to be expressed in such a way so as to make themselves open to contradiction or agreement, challenge or negotiation - instead of closed loops of vague and essentially meaningless 'strategic plans'.” (Blackall 2013)
