Artist Statement

Deep in the Glenn Valley was once a thriving winery and fruit farm. Through the years the toll of lack of water and hard country took the family business to ruin. These paintings were a quick snapshot of the valley between other works and feel to me like they are very unfinished. I cant recall why I didn’t push them deeper into resolved works, perhaps it was all about the shitty place I found myself in at the time, looking to be somewhere other than where I hand landed in reality. This collection of work was a part series in my solo exhibition at Gomboc Gallery.
