Artist Statement
On my trusty hip side drawing pad, I would often sketch small drawings to ‘keep my eye in’ as my late Father-in-Law David Gregson would remind me to do. The simple act of a drawing at least means the artist’s output matches some form of income although, as I experienced, the reality is woefully disparate amongst life’s many, many financial challenges.
