Artist Statement

‘Unknown Spaces’ was my first foray into digital printmaking using a humble domestic inkjet printer. Whilst the results were marginal at best, it did catalyze further investigations into the ‘analog-meets-digital’ realm … a bridge space between the physical substrate and the machine-made world of digital media. I consider the ‘Unknown Spaces’ collection as a seminal and important step forward, unlocking my professional art practice to encompass graphic design, web design, and a multitude of derivative processes. These works are outcomes for the Painting / Printmaking 392 unit I completed at Curtin University, School of Arts.”
