Artist Statement

A day spent painting in the field is like a week in meditation for some of the minds that stillness comes in observation and contemplation. This painting completed in plein air in the eastern foothills out of York, Western Australia is the only oil on board work of that period with my only lament that didn’t persist and complete more at the time. If only in hindsight we had the foresight.
