Position Description
This role required extensive travel between each region, jurisdiction, and office location for which I was assigned the use of a car and mobile phone (which were only just emerging as a work-assigned tool). Careful planning ensured a regular route of presence could be achieved in each geolocation. My role involved working with the family and child (client), key stakeholders such as schools and other government departments, NGOs to support their academic skills program catering for their individual needs, to communicate outcomes via a complex reporting system, and provide when required reports on the child’s progress in both the schooling, home, and public social context. This was a challenging role often positioning me between judicial systems, intercultural exchanges, advocacy contentions, and sadly, often not favoring the interests of the child due to decisions made for them.
Outcomes
Effective time-managed developed complex delivery of the program;
High-level negotiations with key stakeholders regarding client inclusion in program co-design;
Delivery and development of extensions to curriculum material for clients;
Attendance of psychological de-briefing
High-level interim and end of contractual reporting.
