Position

As a clerk at one of the oldest electrical wholesale merchandising stores in Australia, I was responsible for stock management, inventory checks using newly introduced micro-fiche catalogues, ordering new stock, batch processing trades accounts applications, audit, stock take and client account details updating. One of the more interesting aspects of this role was the introduction of a ‘computing’ system which allowed for clients details to be updated and transposed to invoice or receipt records which cut out a lot of hand-written work at the time.

Outcomes

Successful completion of a full-time, short term contract.
