Location As Learning Validation

Abstract

There is a need to better articulate a research argument that retracts from the quandary of ‘false positives’ or compromise by collusion with BWC development and requires opening out the discussion of the social and ethical implications forthwith. It is now apparent that GPS and GIS as a measure of ‘location’ in socio-technical isolation informs only one dimension of ‘Location as Learning Validation’, given the lack of cultural context and other presenting factors. Despite the obvious advantages for assessment, a lack of literature in an educational context other than workforce training means there is a need to fill that gap in literature.
