On July 10, 2014 I co-presented at the Department of Education, Australian Government Canberra ACT Australia ‘Innovation 14’ event (Thomas 2014) with an audience of 80 face-to-face public servant employees and 11,770 active participants online via desktop web conferencing.

On the 24th June, 2014 Mikaela Jade (Griffiths) flew out from Canberra to meet with Bruce Hammond, Director of Envirologix, and Khatija Thomas, Commissioner for Aboriginal Engagement, South Australia Government as well as Minister Zoe Bettison and Herb Mack, Manager of Country Health, South Australia.

On the 12th June 2014 the Directors of Paramodic Pty and the researcher met with Cultural Advisor, Tagnekeld Elder Bruce Hammond online via Google Hangouts to discuss the ramifications of Google Glass on Aboriginal communities

On the 12th June 2014 the Directors of Paramodic Pty and myself met with Cultural Advisor and Tagnekald Elder, Bruce Hammond online via Google Hangouts to discuss the ramifications of Google Glass on Aboriginal communities occurring at that time without consultation.

Introductions by Cecilia Abedie over a 4 month period from 27th February 2014 through to the 12th June 2014 enabled the researcher to conduct 47 short interviews through the online Google Hangouts application with forty-seven (47) Google Glass Explorer team members.

In my role as Researcher and Professional Associate at the INSPIRE Centre, University of Canberra I met with Cathie Reid from APHS who had some clear ideas how Google Glass could potentially be used in industry and was interested in research to the same effect.

On the 26th May 2014 Tom Worthington, an independent computer professional, educational design consultant and an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Research School of Computer Science at the Australian National University published an article titled “First Impressions of Wearing Google Glass” after attending a followup event that after #glassmeetup.

On the 22nd May 2014, the researcher as a web developer and participant assisted with the launch of the ‘UOW Transnational Communications - Community of Practice’ (TCCOP)

I presented on the 20th May 2014 at 1130 AM as part of the ongoing webinar series with Elnet DEANZ Australiasia.

The researcher was invited to present at the May 18, 2014 ‘Hangout with Alexander Hayes - Google Glass in Education’ (Stevens 2014) event hosted by Learning2gether with Vance Steven in a Google hangout web conference.

In 2014 I co-convened with Professor Robert Fitzgerald a #glassmeetups Symposium at the University of Canberra whilst in my role as a professional Associate at the University of Canberra, INSPIRE Centre.

The following letter was received by the INSPIRE Team at the University of Canberra on the 7th May 2014 just prior to the Glassmeetup Symposium schedule for the 12th May, 2014. The Stop the Cyborgs group sent the letter anonymously and it had a big impact on me as a researcher in this field.

Conscious that I was located amongst numerous projects running concurrently and overlapping in professional interests as well as potentially crossing ethical standards, an open declaration of these initiatives served to inform everyone of the researchers primary investment in how digital technologies impact upon humans, how they adopt and adapt these technologies for their own use and the impact of this activity more broadly on society.

On May 3, 2014 I contributed to the 2014 La Trobe University Open Conference on Using Video In Education event.

My first declaration for the reader is that, yes, at differing points in time I have prototyped, developed, researched, implemented, marketed, sold and supported the proliferation of wearable technologies. These have included location enabled body worn technologies, systems and related agencies of identity, data and live-time locational whereabouts.

On the 1st May 2014 the researcher conducted an interview with Stephen Downes, Researcher and Connectivist Learning advocate who provided the researcher with pertinent food for thought regarding ‘natural surveillance’ and ‘community connections’ analogies which gave critical credence to analogue practice.

In April 2014 as a result of many discussions at the University of Canberra, INSPIRE Centre and in discussions with Jenny Millea, Bruce Arnold and Professor Robert Fitzgerald the concept of bringing people together for a wearable conference grew.

A presentation by Alexander Hayes (http://alexanderhayes.com) and Leigh Blackall (http://leighblackall.blogspot.com) discussing #GoogleGlass and the first conference in Australia looking into this phenomenon; as well as the uses of #Glass - like technology in the health professions - La Trobe University, Victoria Australia.

After multiple attempts to convince fellow Directors at Streamfolio Pty Ltd to change focus on the development of a data management repository using an ELGG open-source platform including meeting via Google Hangouts to see recent developments (Alexander Hayes 2014) for body-worn cameras, the researcher resigned as Director.

On the 21st February 2014 I presented online via webcast with Nikola Danaylov from the ‘Singularity Weblog’, providing a recorded account (Danaylov 2014) of my PhD work and findings from the ISTAS13 conference in Toronto.
