Raw Grandeur

Artist Statement

The opportunity to consider the concept of ‘bliss’ arrived with the carving of a table top over a 12 week period commencing in early November 2014. To consider what delivers bliss came about when contemplating what dining setting I wanted to eat around in my apartment in the new section of Kingston, ACT Canberra. The utilitarian form was carefully considered as was the aesthetic of a dark stained Japanese tea table style setting, later exhibited as a creative art form at the Raw Grandeur exhibition in Belconnen, ACT Australia.
