In 2013 I attended and presented at the Inaugural Police Technology Forum at the Hilton on the Park Hotel in Melbourne, Victoria Australia on the 14-15 March 2013.

The feeling was deeply palpable and affecting both my professional life and leading to arguments at home. It was a constant struggle in my mind and it kept me awake for long periods of time.In that regard nothing has changed as far as this dilemma, this deep-seated ethic position that unduly affects my sleep.

On January 13, 2013, I attended and presented at the 'EVO2013 Launch Webcast' event which was hosted by Jeff Lebow and Vance Stevens from the WebHeadsInAction group.

I attended and presented at the 2012 MoodlePosium held at the University of Canberra, 22nd and 23rd of November, 2012. I was doing some contract work with Brightcookie at the time and also heavily promoting the Streamfolio application.

On the 20th November 2012 I attended the ‘spatial@gov.2012’ conference which was held at the National Convention Centre in Canberra, Australia.

In September 2012 the Researcher received a ‘pre-alpha’ Memoto lifelogging camera which contained the following statement within the shipping packaging.

In late 2012 I teamed up with Matthew Schroyer from the United States ( http://www.mentalmunition.com/p/about-author.html ) and led a discussion with a whole bunch of people relating to the use of drones and the link with augmented reality specifically HUD displays.

In late 2012 the Researcher engaged in a number of lengthy conversations with Learning Designer, Leigh Blackall who was invited to present at the upcoming IEEE ISTAS’13 event in Toronto Canada.

This large event was attended by colleagues of the Australian National Data Services (ANDS) and as a result the researcher gained a better understanding of the ramifications of data management practices, data repositories and international agencies vying to lock down access by service profiles including data derivative of citizen engagement with government agencies.

I attended and presented at the SISAT Research Student Colloquium at the City Beach Function Centre in Wollongong on the 11th October 2012. My presentation was focused on the proliferation of body-worn video cameras across the policing sector.

On the 18th September through to the 21st September 2012 I attended the CHELT Showcase: Innovative Use Of Technologies In Education at the Australian National University (ANU), College of Asia & The Pacific to deliver a presentation about my PhD research.

The researcher was directed at this point by the Chief Investigator to access and complete an ‘Application For Approval To Undertake Research Involving Human Participants’ through the University of Wollongong/ Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and after meeting with the UOW Statistics Team in May 2012 the submission was tendered by the Chief Investigator.

In 2012 I attended the SMHE Informa Conference held in Sydney on the 26th and 27th June 2012. I spoke about the onset of wearables in the higher education sector and a number of other topics related.

The Google Glass phenomena was a key theme at the ‘ANZ Mlearn Symposium’ held at the Sydney Institute of Technology 2012 with the Researcher presenting a paper published by The Journal of the Australian and New Zealand Mobile Learning Group titled ‘Reflections: Glass & Mobile Learning’
